The requirements in the workforce are becoming continuously more complex. Not only should one have the professional knowledge but are also expected to have comprehensive social skills. Due to this, the teachers at LIPSCHULE not only focus on the transfer of classroom knowledge but also on personal development.
At LIPSCHULE, the children and youth learn how to complete their individual work plans independently and learn what they gain from doing it. It is important to us that their deadlines are adhered to. Our teachers purposely include modern technology into the lessons to equip the students with the necessary skills to use them. A more important emphasis is placed on developing self-confidence. To encourage this, we train the children and youth in their performance and presentation skills. We also introduce them to social etiquette and give them tips on how to react to unexpected events. In addition, there are always new topics on our timetable that go beyond the classic school material – especially during our project weeks.
Lastly, we introduce our students to the rules of teamwork. In their everyday school life, they learn that each individual is a part of a whole and contributes something to complete a successful project. Through this, we increase a mutual acceptance and tolerance amongst each other. We understand this throughout all ages: We do not hide the fact that adults also make mistakes and that young children’s inputs can be just as valuable.
