Goosebump moments on the Lip stage: young people stage "The Wave"
Despite the intense summer heat and demanding rehearsals, our theater group brought the gripping production of "The Wave" to the stage. The result: four successful performances, an enthusiastic audience, and a powerful example of teamwork in action.
An experiment that gets under your skin
The well-known novel "The Wave" is based on a true story from 1967, when a teacher in the United States used an experiment to demonstrate how easily fascist-like structures can emerge. For this challenging piece, the young people had to learn an incredible amount of text. They mastered the challenge brilliantly: with a great deal of heart, depth, and acting sensitivity, they conveyed the powerful message and gave the audience truly moving moments.
Theater is teamwork
Behind the success of the performances under the direction of Tatjana Steinbichl and Markus Furrer lies a major collective effort. The production depended not only on the actors and actresses in the spotlight, but just as much on the dedication behind the scenes. The students organized all of the technical setup, handled the music, and prepared elaborate video installations for the perfect stage design. Even the makeup and filming of the performance were taken on entirely independently by the students.
A celebration for the Lip family
Over two days, a total of four performances took place for the school and parents. Especially nice: many former students, who themselves often stood on the Lip stage in the past, also came by as guests. Such a large project requires a great deal of flexibility from the entire faculty. Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone involved and to the Lip family for their support. We are incredibly proud of our young people!
