Montessori Kindergarten
In the German-English kindergarten, children gain their first experiences with Montessori materials and learn how to move within a group. They observe, experiment, and develop independence. Our learning environment offers them many opportunities to follow their inner interests — at their own pace and accompanied by experienced caregivers.

Nature Kindergarten
starting in 2027
In the nature kindergarten we lay the foundation for healthy development. We use nature as an expansive learning space to foster cross-disciplinary skills and to give children a sense of groundedness. With our forest site, the lakeshore, and our garden, we offer children a variety of different outdoor learning environments.
6–9 years
Montessori Lower Primary
In our lower primary, children deepen their skills and knowledge. They work in consistent groups and experience how collaborative learning functions — with younger and older children. The materials and topics become more complex, and personal responsibility grows. At the same time, play, movement, and creativity remain integral parts of the school day.
Our advantages at a glance
Daily structure and care
Reliable support — even outside learning hours: Our daily structure offers families flexibility and gives children a consistent framework from early morning to late afternoon. During the shared lunch, in care, or while playing in small groups, children experience a dependable community.
Bilingualism and support
German and English are part of everyday life at Lip. Children encounter the languages playfully — through recurring words, songs, or conversations. No pressure, but with curiosity and joy. At the same time, we support each child individually in their linguistic, social, and academic development.
Learning environment with freedom of movement
Our school building in Zurich-Wollishofen is tailored to children's needs. Bright, well-structured rooms provide orientation and at the same time freedom of movement. Whether in the learning landscape, on the playground (camping area), or in the care area — learning happens everywhere. Mixed-age moments promote social skills and independence.
Montessori philosophy and learning culture
Our approach is based on the educational principle of the Italian reform educator Maria Montessori: "Help me to do it myself." In a stimulating learning environment, children discover their interests and develop into self-confident personalities. The teachers support them in their natural curiosity and desire for independence.
