Portrait of Susanne Streit

Susanne Streit

Level Leadership Cycle 3 Cycle 3
My teaching subjects are the perfect combination: In sports, I reach the agile children, in art the creative ones, and in math everyone.

At the age of seven, it was clear to Mrs. Streit that she wanted to become a math teacher and do it better than her teachers at the time. Megalomania? Not at all. On one hand, Mrs. Streit already knew back then that mathematics was her great passion. On the other hand, it is her great talent. This is evidenced, for example, by the two math books she has written. She knows how to pass on her passion for mathematics with her supportive nature and repeatedly manages to make children enjoy mathematics.

However, Mrs. Streit is not only skilled with numbers but also with brushes and Escrima sticks, training weapons from Asian martial arts. Because every free minute she wasn't in school as a child, she spent either doing martial arts or drawing and painting. A perfect mix with which Mrs. Streit has enriched the Lip since the 2024/25 school year.

She teaches mathematics, art, sports, and interdisciplinary learning fields in the 3rd cycle. Additionally, Mrs. Streit holds the level responsibility for the students of the 3rd cycle. Thus, she is a teacher, mentor, learning companion, contact person, colleague, and employee all in one.

When Mrs. Streit and her family decided to move to Switzerland in 2024, it had to be the Lipschule. Because the Lip offers precisely the space for competence-oriented learning that she missed in public schools. Team collaboration is also important to Mrs. Streit. The familial atmosphere at the Lip applies to both the students and the staff: You are never left alone in the rain, and challenges are creatively and collectively solved.
